Hands Across the Border is Evangelizing through Local Church Revivals, Soul Winning, and Church Planting; Equipping through the distribution of Bibles, Tracts, Hymnals, and Discipleship Material and finally Encouraging through Developing National Pastors.
Hands Across the Border is a local church ministry of Victory Baptist Church, located in Milton, Florida. Our director, Dr. Gary Schwer, and his wife Tammy have been traveling in Western Mexico since 2005. It did not take long for them to see the great need for scripture distribution and church planting throughout Western Mexico.
Since 2005 ten's millions of Spanish gospel tracts, booklets, and Bibles have been delivered throughout Sonora, Sinaloa, Nayarit, Baja California, and Baja Sur by the Hands Across the Border team. In addition to the scripture distribution, HATB has planted five churches and is involved in helping other churches be planted.

Assistant Director:
Brother Shawn Cuthbertson has been working with Brother Gary Schwer to reach the Spanish-speaking people of Mexico for many years. Brother Cuthbertson has been traveling to Mexico for over fifteen years preaching and helping distribute scripture. Brother Cuthbertson is available for missions conferences and would be honored to share the ministry of Hands Across the Border as well as help your church be encouraged to do more to reach the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Dear Pastor, Church, and praying Friends,
Thank you so much for all that you continue to do to reach Mexico and beyond with the Gospel. Please continue to pray for us here as we represent you on this field.
CITY OF REFUGE:
The work continues as we have been building the warehouse for storage. As of this writing we should have the roof on this week. The heat is starting to subside a little bit and we are very thankful for that. We are continuing to use the block machine it has more than paid for itself and saved us a lot of money. Pray with us that we will be done building by January.
CHURCH PLANTS:
We are gearing up for the busiest part of the year for outreach October-December. We have several outreaches planned for Oct being father kino days and the day of the dead. The first week of October there will be thousands walking to our town from all over Mexico and even some walking from America. We will literally be able to reach out to thousands during this time with J/R and tracts. Please be in prayer for us during this month of outreach. We have some groups coming to help with the outreach.
SCRIPTURE DELIVERY:
We had Missionary Bro Jason Herndon and some of his family visiting. We were able to take over 300,000 pieces of scripture to be distributed in the Baja. Also last week we were able to send 20,300 tracts to the state of Puebla. The Lord has allowed us to distribute 6,347,000 pieces of scripture this year.
OPERATION COMPASSION 2023:
The goal is 10,000 backpacks with toys inside with a J/R and tract. Each backpack cost $5 a piece including the toys etc. This gives us an opportunity to share the gospel with over 30,000 people personally. We desperately need your help. Please prayerfully consider helping us not only bring a child Christmas in Mexico but also helping us share the gospel. We need the money in by Oct. 15 this allows us time to get everything to Mexico and then pack all the backpacks

Our area is a little unique in what we deal with sometimes, but we know God is in control If you have been praying about somewhere to serve and be part of a ministry in a foreign country please pray about here and talk to your pastor about it.
